    REFURBISHMENT

BRAC Contracts were appointed Principal Contractors for the refurbishment of 32 blocks of toilets. The works included removing the existing sanitary ware and services, leaving a shell.

Landlords are fast becoming aware that it’s imperative to ensure their buildings have a modern infrastructure of services to get the best opportunity to obtain their full rental market potential.  Clearly toilets are an everyday necessity for everyone and being able to have the use of modern, clean and light facilities is always going to be top of everybody’s wish list. Therefore, BRAC were delighted to be awarded the contract to refurbish the old toilets of Millennium Bridge House and bring them up to date.

Millennium Bridge House is set on an impressive and prominent site on the Thames riverside and is located very close to the north end of the Millennium Bridge which connects St Paul’s Cathedral with the Tate Modern. As a busy multi tenanted office building, it was vital that any work undertaken was completed while it was fully occupied and as experts in refurbishment this was easily achieved.

We designed, stripped and rebuilt 32 toilet blocks within the building. Using low energy lighting as well as back lighting, toughened glass with mirror effect we optimised the light in the facilities. BRAC replaced all sanitary ware, electrics and tiling. Working closely with our sister company BRAC Projects which specialises in the fabrication of cubicles and panelling, we completed the full refurbishment within 8 months.
