BRAC Contract’s continued relationship with Quartz Project Management required a fast track installation with reduced lead in time to support one of their high growth clients – AS Colour.
Due to the nature of AS Colours business, a fast track flexible programme was required to ensure no down time was lost when relocating from the existing warehouse space to the new in Leighton Buzzard as well as an accelerated lead-in period to ensure the final date for completion was achieved.
Clothing manufacturer AS Colour was relocating to a new office and warehouse in Bedfordshire to support expansion of its range in the UK. The process involved of moving operations to a 7,400 sq m (80,000 sq ft) facility in Leighton Buzzard. The move, completed at the end of March has allowed AS Colour to increase stockholdings by fivefold across all its core styles instead of the more limited selection that has been available in the UK since entering this market in 2018.
The works were split into warehouse and office phases. We installed new lighting within main warehouse area, inclusive of all emergency lighting and signage. We added forklift charging points at the rear of the warehouse space and 27 WiFi points throughout the building. Additionally we laid structured data caballing
throughout back to data cabinet and a new tea point / staffroom area with brand new integrated appliances.
A state of the art key card swipe access system and new beam detection fire alarm system was installed within warehouse along with CCTV Security system with camera both internally and externally.
The office upgrades included new glazed partitions, structured data cabling within raised access floor, floor boxes and cleaners grommets.
